The eye is the looking glass through which you see the world. It is also the mirror to your soul.
Isn’t it true? Eyes are the glasses through which we see the world and the world sees us. But is it also not true that eyes are the most attractive things that humans have got? If I ask you what you find most attractive feature in a person, appearance wise, you may say face-cut, figure, build up or maybe something else. But in my opinion, it’s the eyes. The eyes which speak a thousand words.
The determined eyes, the confident eyes, the seductive eyes, the naughty eyes, the calm eyes and so on….. Aren’t these attractive? Maybe that’s why there are plenty of songs made just for the admiration of eyes. Songs like “Jeevan se bhari” whose lyrics go like this
Jeevan se bhadi, Teri aankhein
Majboori karein jeene ke liye, jeene le liye……
show us how full of life our eyes could be that they force someone to keep on living even if that someone has lost all the hopes……..! Then the romantic ones like “Tere Naina” or “Gulabi Aankhein” reflect the heart of a lover who has sacrificed everything for those eyes. And there are many more…..Then the eyes are often metaphorically compared to the moon, stars and sea which comes out really beautiful.
Now leaving aside the attraction aspect of eyes, what else these are for?? Vision !? Except that of course!!
Many-a-times when we find it hard to express something with words it’s the eyes which speak for us. The angry eyes, the innocent eyes, the whatever eyes, the like a boss eyes and whatever be it, your eyes will say it for you and that too quite effectively. Eyes never lie, in fact they just can’t, they are directly connected to our soul. That’s the reason it is called as the mirror to our soul. Our eyes are the doorway to our heart. they reflect our emotions and our inner being.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead;
I lift my lids and all is born again.
